Now more so than ever adolescents and youths are pivotal in shaping the future.
Their exposure to technology sees them more informed, albeit not always with the correct information, more segregated as technology demands, no commands their complete attention and they harbour genuine concerns about the sustainability of our world.
This year in 2024 anyone 10 years or older will be a young adult by 2032.
What vision do they hold for the Greater Gold Coast Community?
What do they want their future GC Community to look like?
Do they realise as they mold themselves, they simultaneously shape the future?
Here in southeast Queensland, there is a disproportionate minority of adolescents and youths that understandably have the attention of main stream and social media and affected local communities.
Without downplaying the need to highlight the current untenable situation I would like to give a platform space to shine a light on SEQ adolescents and youths who are positively contributing to our fabulous Gold Coast community, somewhere where we as a community can publicly embrace these young people and their actions.
